Description
As a Creative Director for Eleventh Hour Games, you will be the central vision for our Art team, guiding multi-disciplinary artists across Technical Art, VFX, Animation, and Level Design. You'll champion quality, best practices, and production efficiency, developing streamlined pipelines and driving the performance and visual quality of our games. This role demands excellent communication skills and autonomy, as you'll be working with a fully remote team. It's an ideal fit for someone with strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal.What You'll Do
- Be the visionary and advocate who defines the Art Team's direction and priorities.
- Direct and people-lead teams of remote artists, including conducting 1:1s, providing performance feedback, defining roles, and overseeing full-cycle performance management.
- Collaborate with other teams to support and fulfill the vision for MTX and additional in-game items.
- Lead the ongoing production of game-ready assets for VFX, Animation, Level Design, and at times, Narrative Design.
- Review and provide constructive feedback for art assets.
- Work with other Art Leadership to align goals and processes across the department.
- Design, build, and optimize pipelines used by associated teams to streamline and support production and implementation.
- Ensure timely delivery of assets needed by other departments.
- Provide fast, sustainable integration support for various departments.
- Work with the art team to push the graphic fidelity of Last Epoch.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years in an Art Director role, or similar leadership positions within a game studio environment.
- 5+ years managing artist workflows.
- Professional understanding of full-cycle Art pipelines, Level Design, and other Design principles.
- Solid technical fluency in game development tools and pipelines to guide the quality and feasibility of the creative vision.
- Experience as an art director with a strong passion for ARPGs and art principles.
- Strong leadership skills and proven experience working collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Experience in a role that requires innovation and strategic thinking, coupled with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Professional understanding of Unity, Blender, Maya, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
