Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Infrastructure Engineer to lead our Platform Engineering team. As the team leader, you will direct the planning, design, development, and implementation of our platform architecture, ensuring it meets the needs of our growing product portfolio. You will guide a talented team of engineers, driving best practices and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.You’ll be
- Leading the design and development of scalable, reliable, and secure platform solutions.
- Managing and mentoring a team of platform engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
- Collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technological solutions.
- Ensuring continuous improvement of the platform through effective use of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Overseeing the implementation of security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Optimising performance and scalability of the platform to support business growth.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing robust solutions.
- Developing and maintaining metrics and KPIs to evaluate platform performance and reliability.
We’re looking for someone who has
- Proven experience leading a team of infrastructure/platform engineers.
- Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Expertise with containerisation and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Deep understanding of networking, security protocols, and best practices.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools and techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Kubernetes Certified Administrator.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
