What you'll be doing

• End-to-End AI Project Delivery: Take ownership and ship full-stack AI projects from concept to deployment, including exciting initiatives such as developing AI Agents, implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), building structured extraction pipelines, creating internal tooling to empower customer-facing teams, and architecting robust infrastructure for efficient LLM inference.
• Architectural Guidance and Technical Strategy: Play a key role in guiding the end-to-end architecture and shaping the technical strategy for our innovative AI solutions.
• Scaling AI Solutions: Drive improvements to our processes, tools, and underlying systems to effectively scale AI solutions across the entire Circle platform.
• AI Infrastructure Optimization: Optimize our AI infrastructure for peak performance, high reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Staying at the Forefront of AI: Actively contribute to our understanding of the latest advancements in AI research, cutting-edge techniques, and emerging tools.

What you'll need to be successful

• Extensive Full-stack Experience: 5+ years of proven experience working as a full-stack engineer on complex and scalable web applications.
• Strong Web Development Proficiency: Solid proficiency in Ruby on Rails, MySQL/Postgresql, and ReactJS. While familiarity with both frontend and backend is essential, deep expertise in both is not a strict requirement.
• AI Programming Expertise: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language commonly utilized for AI development (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Production AI Agent Deployment: You have successfully deployed at least one AI Agent to a production environment and possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire development lifecycle, from initial conceptualization through final deployment and incorporating user feedback loops.
• Hands-on AI Framework and Tool Experience: Practical, hands-on experience with prominent AI frameworks and tools, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and vector databases.
• Solid NLP, ML, and LLM Fundamentals: A strong theoretical and practical understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) fundamentals, and Large Language Models (LLMs), including modern LLM architectures, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and effective prompt engineering techniques.
• Agile and Autonomous Mindset: A strong desire to thrive in an environment that values rapid iteration, individual autonomy and ownership, while also embracing personal accountability and the ability to collaborate effectively as an integral part of a dynamic team.
