Description
IFT is at the forefront of decentralisation, and we're seeking a technically strong and passionate AI Operations Engineer to be instrumental in our journey. This role is pivotal in supporting the seamless deployment, efficient management, and effective coordination of AI-driven tools and systems across all our innovative projects. You will be hands-on in ensuring our AI systems function smoothly, acting as a crucial interface between our engineering, research, and operations teams.This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone who loves to tinker with cutting-edge technology, enjoys the synergy of working with both code and people, and isn't daunted by a steep learning curve. You will play a key role in implementing cutting-edge AI application pilots across the organisation, directly contributing to capturing critical success metrics for initiatives including:
- AI agents for efficient financial summaries
- Automated onboarding processes for streamlined hiring
- AI-powered analytics for insightful portfolio management
- Intelligent querying systems for internal knowledge bases
Key Responsibilities
AI Tooling & Deployment:- Implement and provide day-to-day operational support for a variety of AI tools utilized by multiple teams.
- Proactively manage and diligently monitor AI agents deployed in production environments.
- Build, maintain, and optimise robust pipelines for efficient model deployment and iterative improvements.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering, research, and operations teams to identify high-impact opportunities for AI integration.
- Facilitate effective communication with teams to clearly articulate their needs and translate them into scalable and practical AI workflows.
- Strategically prioritise AI tasks by directly mapping them to tangible operational pain points, ensuring impactful solutions.
- Create comprehensive documentation and actively support feedback loops for internally developed AI tools.
- Continuously evaluate and proactively improve the performance and user experience of deployed AI tools.
- Contribute to building both the systems and the collaborative culture of an “AI-native” organisation.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in technical operations, DevOps, or IT roles, with demonstrable exposure to software tooling and automation workflows.
- Strong technical grounding with the ability to quickly grasp key AI/ML concepts, understand data structures, work with APIs, and comprehend system architecture.
- Demonstrable experience in, and/or a genuine passion for, Web3 & Blockchain technology.
- Preferably, experience actively contributing to open-source communities or projects.
- High emotional intelligence and proven stakeholder relationship management skills; comfortable and effective at interfacing with both deeply technical and non-technical contributors across IFT.
- A strong sense of curiosity and humility, with a willingness to unlearn conventional operations models to help shape a truly native-AI organisation.
- Solid understanding of modern LLM tooling and platforms, including — e.g., LangChain, OpenAI APIs, vector databases (like Pinecone, Weaviate), and orchestration tools (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen).
- Strong organizational skills and well-developed operational intuition.
Bonus skills
- Previous experience working effectively in agile, iterative, and distributed team environments.
