Description

Wolcen is looking for a passionate Video Artist to join our multicultural team as we develop our next unannounced project in Unreal Engine 5. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and thrives on collaboration. You'll work closely with multiple disciplines to find effective solutions, with a strong emphasis on ongoing partnership between the marketing and animation teams.

You'll support the studio's content strategy by producing high-impact video assets for marketing campaigns, social media, and community engagement.

What You'll Do as a Video Artist at Wolcen

• Create high-quality trailers, gameplay showcases, and promotional videos for marketing and community channels. You'll also support Cinematic Artists, ensuring their work aligns with the game's overall vision.
• Work with the Game Director, Animation Director, Marketing Lead, and other departments to translate narrative beats and gameplay moments into compelling visual storytelling.
• Utilize Unreal Engine 5's cinematic tools (Sequencer, etc.) to craft and implement high-quality trailer moments.
• Edit and integrate real-life footage, developer interviews, behind-the-scenes clips, and voice-overs in addition to in-engine work.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of marketing asset workflows and tools.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input on visual storytelling, including format ideation for different platforms such as YouTube, Steam, and Discord.
• Produce a consistent stream of video content tailored for marketing campaigns, social media engagement, community updates, and creator support.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve marketing asset-related issues. Estimate task time and manage deadlines effectively.
• Actively contribute to promoting a transparent and learning culture within the team.

What Skills You'll Use

• Good experience as a Video Artist in the video game industry.
• Strong artistic sensitivity with a deep appreciation for cinematographic, video game, and broader cultural references.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5.
• Proficiency in video post-production software such as After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
• Good knowledge of production techniques and the film creation process.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Innovative problem-solving skills.
• Motion Design experience.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication.
